Who we are
The Constitutional Democratic Party was launched in December 2010 in Manchester, United Kingdom by its founder members, The party aims to be a centre left, European party that fills a gap in genuine political representation in the United Kingdom, we are a party committed to constitutional reform in the UK and to the European Union.
We believe that the UK constitution is fundamentally fraudulent and deficient in the way that it defrauds the people of thier political and legal rights and believe in a rolling program of constitutional reform that gives power back to the people where it rightfully belongs, in harmony with EU constitutional and legal rights.
We aim to be a consistent reliable and formidable force both in UK politics and European politics in the 21st century, fighting for the principles, of constitutionalism, democracy, the soveriegnty of the people and the rule of law with policies designed to create a utopian society in the face of an uncertain future.
"There is a real and dangerous void of political integrity within the United Kingdom that deprives the people of the opportunity to have common sense policies that make sense, a void that fundamentally undermines the democracy and society in which we live, the EU has always been an effective, historical counter balance to that structural deficiency and represents an idea of constitutional and legal integrity that goes back to the Roman Empire itself, an ideal with a real and effective capacity for change, it is unfair to ask the British people to entertain a legal and economic framework that is inferior and secondary to all the other EU countries, our competitors and neighbours, that is the necessity that the CDP addresses"

The Constitutional Democratic Paty is a left of centre, European political party that has, as the name suggests, constitutionalism and democracy as its central principles. We have a host of radical and intellectually sound ideas and policies that the political mainstream in the UK won't consider because they fundamentally challenge the nature of the system, fundamentally we propose,
- Abolition of the Crown in the UK.
- Constitutional reform in the UK.
- Constitutional reform in the EU.
- Electoral reform.
- Enterprise allowance for entrepreneurs.
- EU Citizenship and human rights development.
- EU Peace keeping operations and extended scope of the EU common security and foreign policy.
- Housing reform.
- Internet privacy laws to protect individuals, from private and private public bodies.
- Land reform.
- Legal system reform.
- Monetary reform.
- Narcotics reform and legalisation.
- Planning law reform.
- Penal reform.
- Reform of monarchal powers and prerogatives within the EU.
- Urban and social remodelling.
- Welfare benefits reform in the EU, A return to the social.
The party aims to grow organically from its bases in London and Manchester but we will eventually be based in Strasbourg, France, home of the EU Parliament, ECHR and other EU institutions and agencies.
As a matter of priorities, the European Parliament is our primary destination in the pursuit of political power, national politics is our secondary objective.
